With the expansion of the UAE market, the demand of manpower has increased, therefore; it is crucial to understand the legal structure related to employment in the UAE. This half day workshop will highlight the legal framework of employment and issues related thereto. OBJECTIVES To gain a thorough understanding of: The legal framework surrounding employment in the UAE (including free zones); The relative merits of employing staff under (a) fixed term contracts, or (b) unlimited term contracts; The rights conferred by Federal Law No 8 of 1980 Regulating Labour Relations (as amended); The likely issues to arise upon termination of the employment relationship.
