Oman Broadband, Salalah Drainage enter alliance

The Oman Broadband Co. recently entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Salalah Sanitary Drainage Services Co.

The memorandum was signed by Sheikh Salim bin Ufeit al Shanfari, head of Dhofar Municipality; HE Said bin Hamdoon al Harthy, undersecretary for Ports and Marine Affairs in the Ministry of Transport and Communications; Said bin Abdullah al Manthri, chief executive officer of the Oman Broadband Co.; and Ghali bin Ahmed al Mashali, chief executive officer of the Salalah Sanitary Drainage Services Co.

Shanfari said the agreement will make the laying of optic fiber cables less complicated. Harthy said the agreement will provide for the laying of optic fiber cables at all Salalah Drainage Services Co.'s projects.

Manthri said that this alliance makes it possible for the Oman Broadband Co. to run its broadband projects in tandem with sanitary drainage projects.
