Qatar Chemical names new general manager

Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding Company (MPHC), a subsidiary under Qatar Petroleum, recently named Saad Rashid Mohammed Al-Muhannadi its new general manager of the company’s Q-Chem and Q-Chem2 companies.

Al-Muhannadi will begin Sept. 1. He has several years of experience with Qatar Petroleum, where he served in multiple disciplines and management positions. With a career that has lasted more than 25 years, he is now the director technical of Qatar Petroleum, which is a position he has held beginning in June 2006. His responsibilities include organizing, leading and implementing a wide variety of oil and gas related activities as well as civil infrastructure capital projects.

Before he held this position, he was the engineering business manager and the corporate manager of contracts. In the past, he was a member of multiple steering and management committees as well as a member of the board of directors with several well-known companies.

Al Muhannadi attended the University of Southern California for his bachelor of science in industrial and systems engineering.

MPHC is one of the area’s top diversified petrochemical conglomerates. The company has interests in the manufacturing, distribution, and sale of polyolefins, olefins, chlor-alkali, and alpha olefins products.
