Modern Data Center solutions provider Veeam Software is expanding its operations and offerings in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine.

"Strengthening our presence in the Middle East is a strategic move by us to continue to be a part of the innovative and fast-moving business environment in the region," Veeam  Regional Director Gregg Petersen said. "These markets comprise 45 percent of Veeam's Middle East performance."

On the heels of the expansion, Rawad Zaki has been named territory manager for the region. He is charged with advancing the company's verticals as well as expanding Veeam's impact throughout the region.

“Rawad represents the first lead resource in the broader region for Veeam, which we expect to continue to build on in the months to come," Petersen said. "This appointment is a demonstration of Veeam’s commitment to be closer to our customers."

Zaki is enthusiastic about his new challenges.

“I believe that my role with Veeam will enable me to build on the regional expertise that I have gained over the years, while extending the company’s presence nearer to regional businesses that are moving towards the ‘always-on’ model," he said. "I look forward to developing lasting relationships with Veeam customers and partners across this challenging geography.”
