UAE Exchange recertified in information security management

Global remittance and foreign exchange leader UAE Exchange said recently its information security management team has earned recertification through the most recent ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard.

ISO 27001:2013, the most current version of the International Standard for Information Security Management, means detection of any security breaches would be immediate, as only authorized users are able to access sensitive information. It is an assurance of the highest levels of confidentiality, integrity and availability of customer data.

UAE Exchange was last certified in 2012 under the 2005 standard.

“Operating in a global environment makes it imperative for us to manage and secure company and customer information from various security threats," UAE Exchage CEO Promoth Manghat said. "We are delighted to be the first remittance brand to achieve the ISO 27001:2013 certification. This certificate is a testament of our continued focus on meeting the global standards for information security and provides our customers, partners and regulators the confidence that we manage our systems, operations and data in a secure manner.”

The certification also puts in place consistent policies, procedures and control measures to minimize security risks.
