Germany's Ziehm Imaging and OrthoScan showcased the world's first and only mobile 3-D C-arm imaging system at the recent Arab Health Exhibition and Congress in Dubai.

The Ziehm Vision RFD 3D system comes equipped with a flat panel that provides a 6.3-inch edge length. It combines 2-D and 3-D imaging designed to meet the needs of orthopedics, traumatology, spine surgery and heart procedures, providing the largest 3-D images available from this type of equipment.

"We are very pleased that we will be exhibiting together with our sister company OrthoScan at one of the most important health care congresses in the world," Ziehm Director of Global Marketing Martin Ringholz said. "Our joint presence brings our cooperation to the next level and allows us to showcase the complete range of mobile imaging solutions - from mini-mobile C-arms to high-end mobile C-arms."

OrthoScan showcased smaller versions of the C-arm units designed for smaller operating rooms. Officials said the FD Pulse offers an exceptional range of vision and is the first mini C-arm imaging system that uses pulsed fluoroscopy.

Ziehm Imaging has been working in the mobile X-ray technology industry since 1972.
