The Al-Ahsa Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Saudi Arabia, headed by Chairman Saleh Al-Afalek, recently made a sizable economic delegation to the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by First Deputy Chairman Ibrahim Al-Mahmoud.

The meeting, hosted by Al-Mahmoud, took place at the Chamber’s Tower in Abu Dhabi. Al-Mahmoud expressed his desire for the exchange to meet the expectations of both Khalifa Al Nahyan, president of the UAE, and King Salman Aziz, king of Saudi Arabia. In addition, Al-Mahmoud noted the determination and vision of having a productive collaboration between the two sides.

“It is of my great pleasure to gather together here today to discuss the methods of enhancing our trade relations and increasing cooperation between businessmen in each of Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia, as well as benefiting from the best practices in the field of customer services in Abu Dhabi Chamber and Al-Ahsa Chamber in order to contribute more to the sustainable and comprehensive economic development in the two countries,” he said.

After pointing out that the Saudi projects in the UAE doubled over previous years to billions of dollars, the deputy chairman reiterated that the Abu Dhabi Chamber anticipates the increase in partnerships with the Saudi chamber to make a way for national companies to support the progress of both chambers.

Al-Afalek responded with recognition of solid relations between the UAE and Saudi Arabia due to the actions and support of Aziz and Al Nahyan.

“I am very pleased to meet you at the Abu Dhabi Chamber today, which is one of the biggest and finest chambers of commerce and industry in the GCC and the Middle East,” Al-Afalek said. “I would like to take this opportunity to extend my gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the UAE and ruler of Abu Dhabi, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE armed Forces, chairman of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, for their great efforts in the development process of this great country.”

Before the meeting concluded, Al-Afalek recognized the Al-Ahsa Chamber for a recent forum that highlighted the important investment and economic projects predicted to fund a portion of the development in the region.
