Business leaders at BCCI meeting

During the Trade and Retail Sector Committee of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (BCCI) third open meeting of 2016, business owners discussed challenges they face in the day-to-day operations of running a business.

The meeting, held Wednesday, hosted noteworthy dignitaries such as Mohammed Al Ahmadi, counselor at the Domestic Trade Affairs of the Ministry of Industry Commerce and Tourism; Ali Al Kooheji, vice president of operations; and Ashraf Emam, director of customer service of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA).

There was strong participation from business owners, who voiced concern with the challenges of illegal workers, the impact of workers movement and the lengthy procedures for establishing new companies as obstacles to improving business relations within the community and growing revenue.

As the event ended, Trade and Retail Committee Vice Head Akbar Jaffari showed appreciation for the involvement of the Ministry of Industry Commerce and Tourism and the Labor Market Regulatory Authority.

Jaffari thanked the business leaders of the region for their participation and recommendations on how to better the noted problems. He also promised to pass along all suggestions to involved leaders.
