UAE Ministry of Interior, Abu Dhabi police sign contracts for passports, ambulances and firetrucks

The UAE Ministry of Interior and the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters signed a series of contracts at the recent International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience.

The UAE Ministry of Interior and the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters signed a series of contracts amounting to well over $272 million at the recent International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016), a platform dedicated to homeland security, safety and national resilience held in Abu Dhabi.

Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, inspector general of the Ministry of Interior and deputy chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016, said officials signed a total of 41 contracts, which included a contract with Emirates Computers worth more than $12 million to deliver and supply e-passports; a contract with National Ambulance for over $11 million to develop and deliver fully equipment ambulances; and a contract with Saeed Salem Khalfan Commercial Agencies worth over $3 million to supply and deliver mid-size four-wheel firetrucks.

The Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters also signed a series of 18 contracts for training and services for quick responding civil defense teams in the northern emirates and Abu Dhabi.
