Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) Director-General
Raed Mohammed Bin Shams recently announced endeavors to help Bahraini women develop tools to grow into positions of
leadership, a strategy that falls in line with the goals of the Reform Plan of His
Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain.
"BIPA will further enhance dissemination of the concepts of equal opportunities and will initiate communication mechanisms with female employees to monitor improvement of women's positions and work environment,” Bin Shams said.
Bin Shams also said that BIPA operates within the strategy set forth by the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabika bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, which seeks to enable women in the workforce.
"The SCW has successfully made a leapfrog in promoting Bahraini women and in enabling them in various areas of sustainable development", Bin Shams said. "This has contributed to enabling Bahraini women and to developing their capabilities to share an equal position with men, as they make up one half of society.”
Bin Shams said BIPA hopes to help women achieve equal opportunities across Bahrain.
