Dubai Chamber honors the achievements of Emirati women

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry honored Emirati women for their contributions to the development of the United Arab Emirates at a gathering Sunday celebrating Emirati Women’s Day, which was initiated by Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, supreme chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and president of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.

Essa Al Zaabi, senior vice president of the Dubai Chamber Institutional Support Sector, gave the opening address at the gathering, thanking female staff members of the chamber for their work in delivering economic growth and development to the organization and the country as a whole.

Azza bin Suleiman, a member of Federal National Council, urged Emirati women to pursue their goals and excel in any profession they take up.

“The UAE leadership encourages women rights from obtaining basic education to professional qualifications, job placement and career advancement in their choice of professions as a result of which today we see women occupying top positions in various organizations while contributing to the advancement of the country,” Suleiman said.
