GCC works to better relations with African Union
The kingdom of Bahrain has offered different aid and contributions to the African continent through the Royal Charity Organization, as highlighted by Undersecretary of Regional and GCC Affairs Waheed Sayyar.

The organization is supported by trade and economic deals between the kingdom and African countries and is overseen by Royal Charity Organization Board Chairman Nasser Al Khalifa and King Hamad Al Khalifa.

Sayyar’s detailed report was delivered during meetings with executives and committees of top officials from the Gulf Cooperation Council and the General Secretariat of the GCC. During the General Secretariat in Riyadh, the dignitaries discussed the benefit of collaborating with African countries and organizations.

The meeting was part of the strategic plan to work with African countries and organizations developed during the Council of Ministers No. 140 in September 2016.

The plan aims to better relationships between the GCC and the African Union by concentrating on actions in the political, educational, and economic industries. The two groups also agreed on partnering in the social, media, and cultural realms to advance both regions.

By discussing the priorities and ways of working together, GCC and the African countries have been able to better cooperation between the two groups.
