Carnegie Mellon on the job at education career fair

Carnegie Mellon University Qatar (CMU-Q) recently joined many of its fellow Qatar institutions to take part in Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) Education City Career Fair 2017. The two-day event unites students and alumni from the schools with more than 90 national and international organizations.

“HBKU and its partner universities across Education City excel at developing hard-working graduates passionate about finding creative and innovative solutions to unique challenges in their respective fields,” Maryam Hamad Al Mannai, vice president of student affairs at HBKU, said. “Local, regional, and international employers return to the Education City Career Fair each year because they are pleased by the quality of our graduates and impressed by their energy and drive to succeed.”

Qatar Shell sponsored the event in collaboration with Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar, Texas A&M University at Qatar, Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar, Northwestern University in Qatar, HEC Paris in Qatar, and UCL Qatar.

“We are proud to be the lead sponsor of the Education City Career Fair and hope that the students truly benefit from the opportunity,” said Paulo Macedo, general manager of Corporate Affairs and deputy country chairman of Qatar Shell.
