Qatar Chamber striving for integrated database

Qatar Chamber recently urged all 53,000 members to update data and contact information as part of the Chamber’s efforts to develop an integrated database.

“Developing a comprehensive database for our members comes in the framework of the Qatar National Vision 2030, which seeks enhancement our position among all world chambers,” said Qatar Chamber director general Saleh Hamad al-Sharqi in a statement.

Updating the database includes adding a company’s name, sector, address, PO box and email address. Qatar Chamber noted that an updated database would help all member companies; they would be able to receive pertinent information about activities and events of the Chamber. With this database filled out properly, the Chamber would also be able to notify member companies of major exhibitions and trade delegations coming through the region.

“This database would us inform our members of government decisions, circulars, international agreements, brochures, publications and training courses, questionnaires, surveys, studies, and research,” said Department of Member Affairs acting director Al Anoud Zayed al-Mohannadi. “It will also help members recognise our services and the role played by the chamber in the business community whether at the local, regional, or international level.”
