Atomic energy leader accepts Qatari's credentials

Qatar's ambassador to Austria has presented his credentials to the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) director as Qatar's permanent representative to the IAEA in Vienna, the nation's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced recently.

The director, Yukiya Amano, received the credentials of Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani before they discussed the importance of cooperation between the IAEA and Qatar. Amano said Qatar will benefit from the agency's offerings through its technical cooperation program.

Al-Thani reaffirmed Qatar's support for the IAEA, saying Qatar will continue its involvement through its membership on the board of governors.
