Dubai Chamber participates in trade mission to Latin America

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently took part in a Latin America trade mission, which involved visits to Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina.

The delegation, led by the chamber, featured business people from the United Arab Emirates, investors and officials from various sectors, including trade, retail, free zones, food processing and logistics.

“This mission (builds) on progress achieved by the Global Business Forum on Latin America, which was launched by the Chamber last year as a key platform for dialogue and economic cooperation between businesses in the UAE and their Latin American counterparts,” H.E. Hamad Buamim, president and CEO of Dubai Chamber, said in a news release.

Majid Saif Al Ghurair, chairman of Dubai Chamber, will lead the delegation. Al Ghurair was joined by Hisham Abdullah Al Shirawi, 2nd Vice Chairman of Dubai Chamber; Hamad Buamim; Essa Al Ghurair, chairman of Essa Al Ghurair Investment; Ahmed Bin Sulayem, executive chairman of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC); Djamal Djouhri, CEO of Al Ghurair Resources; Dr. Mohammad Al Fahim, senior vice president – corporate development, Dubai South; Mohammed Al Sowaidi, senior vice president – business and government relations; Majid Al Futtaim Retail and other representatives from Dubai’s private sector.
