Qatar Petroleum reaches 10,000th LNG cargo milestone

Qatar Petroleum achieved a milestone when the 10,000th liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo was loaded from Ras Laffan Port earlier this month.The cargo was placed onto the Q-Max LNG carrier Mozah with its destination being the South Hook LNG Terminal in the United Kingdom. Qatargas' JBOG facility loads 1,000th liquefied natural gas ship

Jetty Boil-Off Gas recovery facility recently loaded its 1,000th liquefied natural gas ship. JBOG began operations in 2014, and since that time has safely recovered an estimated 535,000 metric tons of LNG -- enough to provide power to 300,000 homes. A special ceremony marked the milestone. Emerson Process Management and Qatargas partner on project

Emerson Process Management is providing automation and engineering services for a Qatargas project that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1.6 million tonnes annually, company officials announced Tuesday.
