The Emirates Strategic Planning Association -- with the support of Lt. Gen. HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, deputy prime minister and minister of interior and president emeritus of the association -- will host its third annual conference Monday.

The conference theme is “Innovation and Happiness Strategies towards 2021.” The event will take place at the Federal National Council’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Col. Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, strategy and performance development director general, said the goal of the conference is to support UAE's establishing itself in the areas of education, citizenship, economy and security as well as moving forward the efforts of the country's government, private, national and community sectors.

“In view of the importance of strategic planning for advanced institutions within the public and private sectors, the Emirates Strategic Planning Association was established with the aim of achieving several goals; namely instilling the culture of strategic planning among all segments and members of society, especially those entities that are involved in advancing the future of the UAE in the political, economic, social and cultural aspects; providing technical consultations; and supporting the strategic planning system in the UAE," Sarhan Al Mouini, board member of the association and chairman of the conference’s organizing committee.

Al Mouini said an invitation to attend the conference was extended to many national officials.
