The Emaar Foundation, an initiative launched earlier this year by the Dubai-based Emaar Properties real estate development firm, is delivering more than 3,000 meals a day during Ramadan.

The effort is called Ramadan for All, and is focused on promoting social responsibility while nurturing a sense of community and solidarity throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

The Emaar Foundation is taking part in the Food Drive UAE, a social initiative aimed at helping impoverished families during Ramadan. Boxes with staple-food items such as rice, flour, sugar, pasta and oil are being collected from the community and delivered to people in need.

Emaar communities also are hosting daily Iftars – the hearty evening meal eaten after sundown and a day of Ramadan fasting. There, community members are encouraged to take part in Emaar Foundation’s Ramadan for All campaign by donating clothes that will be distributed by the Bait Al Khair Society to the needy during Ramadan.

Emaar Foundation also will be conducting other charity operations at the company’s other holdings. The Dubai Mall is hosting multiple charity programs from Emaar including reading and learning projects for children.

Other projects include initiatives to empower women, and address their families’ critical needs for social services in health care and education.
