EarthCheck Research Institute, one of the world’s leading organizations for scientific benchmarking and certification for the travel industry, is opening a new office in Dubai continuing the institute’s growth in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

EarthCheck’s goal is to be the leading international center for scientific knowledge in sustainable tourism with a focus on research, education and capacity building to solve the world’s environmental challenges.

The Australia-based institute advises organizations on sustainability and climate change issues, providing assistance to the tourism industry to help meet reporting standards.

EarthCheck’s new office will be led by Patrick Renouard, who has experience with international sales and business development in Europe and Asia.

Stewart Moore, EarthCheck’s founder and CEO, said the institute is happy to have Patrick Renouard on board in region.

“Patrick is highly respected by the industry and will be an excellent contact for our regional members and partners,” Moore said.

Renouard said EarthCheck’s new Dubai office provides organization the opportunity to work on the ground with current clients across the UAE, with greater opportunity to bring more clients into the fold.

“We have a long term commitment to the region and will continue to expand the services and products available to our members,” Renouard said.

EarthCheck already counts UAE-based Alila Hotels & Resorts, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, Dusit International, Park Hyatt, Taj Palaces and the Sheraton Dubai Mall among the institute’s clients.
