With the assistance of international law firm Trowers & Hamlins, Oman Brunei Asset Management SAOC (OBAM) negotiated the lease of a new Boeing 737-900ER aircraft to Oman Air.

Third-party funding for the lease was provided by DVB SE, London Branch. This is the fifth aircraft lease Trowers & Hamlins has helped OBAM negotiate in the last year.

OBAM now owns the Boeing, which was delivered in early November, and the lease to Oman Air is long-term.

"Once again, we have provided Oman Air with a competitive leasing solution and I am pleased to expand our relationship with Oman's national airline," Simon McLean, OBAM CEO, said.

Roger Clarke, banking and finance partner at Trowers & Hamlins, was the leader in the deal.

"We are pleased to have advised OBAM on this series of aircraft leasing deals with Oman Air," Clarke said.

OBAM is Oman's first aircraft leasing company.
