Qatar Airways Cargo adding freight route to Dallas, Texas, in the U.S.

Freight customers will be able to take advantage of a new Qatar Airways Cargo route to Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, United States, beginning Jan. 10.

"We are delighted to start 2016 with the addition of Dallas-Fort Worth to our network," Qatar Airways Chief Officer of Cargo Ulrich Ogiermann said. "This is just the beginning of our expansion plans for this year, which will see both our network and our fleet growing in size and strength.

"The U.S. is a very important market for Qatar Airways Cargo and Dallas-Fort Worth is strategically well placed to give us further reach into the region," Ogiermann said.

The twice-weekly route will use a Boeing 777 and will leave from Liege, Qatar. The new route will handle 300 tons of export cargo each month

The addition of the Dallas-Fort Worth gives Qatar Airways a total of six freighter destinations in the Americas.
