The Dubai International Arbitration Center (DIAC) welcomed Kazakhstan Minister of Justice Berik Imashev to Dubai to discuss trade dispute settlements and to facilitate cooperation, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry said this week.

The DIAC, part of the chamber, specializes in offering alternatives to court settlements to regional and international businesses.

DIAC Chairman Habib Al Mulla met with the visiting delegation and detailed the current developmental plans for the center and commitment to supplying the center’s Kazakhstan counterparts with assistance in arbitration.

The center is one of the leading organizations to deal in arbitration globally.

Imashev said the visit provided a wealth of knowledge that he aims to utilize in developing the Astana International Financial Center in Kazakhstan. Imashev also said Kazakhstan wishes to benefit from the DIAC’s expertise in this area. He also said that facilitation of cooperation between the two centers is an important aspect so that both centers can benefit from determining best practices.
