Global Traveler Magazine, a top business and luxury travel magazine based in the U.S., recently awarded Saudia (Saudi Arabian Airlines) its Publisher’s Recognition Award for Service Excellence and Reliability.

Saudia received the honor for providing consistent, steady service for its customers at the airline's new office in Los Angeles.

Saudia started with one route in 1981, from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to New York, and now is the only airline that offers nonstop flights between Saudi Arabia and North America.

Global Traveler Publisher Francis Gallagher presented Saudia with the award, stating that the airline’s ongoing improvements for quality service and the latest aircraft and entertainment systems has allowed Saudia to expand into a variety of markets.

Saudia leaders accepting the award included President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia and Saudia Chairman Sulaiman Al-Hamdan and Director General Saleh Al-Jasser.
