Abu Dhabi approved for certificates of origin

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has signed an agreement with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry to approve certificates of origin issued by the Abu Dhabi Chamber that would allow it to use the World Chambers Federation (WCF) international label.

The agreement states that the international label be provided in accordance with the rules and standards outlines by the WCF International Certificates of Origin Protocol. The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the National Coordination Body for in the UAE for certificates of origin.

Deputy Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber Helal Al-Hameli signed the agreement with the Dubai Chamber, and Atiq Jumaa Nasib, who is the senior vice president of commercial services for the Dubai Chamber, signed on behalf of the Dubai Chamber.

The agreement signed by both organizations will give the Abu Dhabi Chamber certificates of origin, which will be delivered electronically, in addition to acceptance and recognition among every chamber of commerce represented at the International Chamber of Commerce. The international recognition brought about by the certificates of origin gives light to Abu Dhabi’s efforts to provide the best possible services to investors, businessmen, companies and individuals in the emirate.
