Many important world leaders and decision-makers are aware of the strong support that is being given for the Zayed Future Energy Prize, particularly at the Future of Energy Summit.
The world leaders come from the U.S., Norway and Iceland, among others.
The support, which was hosted in New York by Bloomberg New Energy Finance, was included in the main plenary sessions. These sessions showed a video of both Zayed Future Energy Prize Lifetime Achievement Award Winners, Gro Brundtland and Al Gore.
The video demonstrated that this international award from the UAE is one that supports sustainability and energy. The purpose of the award and the summit is to create a network of leaders in the energy industry, market, policy and finance fields.
"The level of international support the Zayed Future Energy Prize receives reinforces the UAE leadership's mission to foster a community that encourages sustainable energy innovation and to honor the legacy of environmental, social and economic sustainability advocated by the nation's founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan,” Nawal Al-Hosany, director of the Zayed Future Energy Prize, said. “For a number of years, the prize has played a role at the Future of Energy Summit because no discussion about the future of energy is complete without the Zayed Future Energy Prize."
