Dubai’s Oman Trading International (OTI) said last week it has selected U.S.-based GlobalView's direct interface program to manage its oil and refined products trading business.

Using GlobalView, OTI can instantly access data in real time to drive their Allegro 8 ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) platform, which captures transactions, performs logistical tasks and fulfills compliance regulations.

"We needed a high quality data solution for our Allegro platform and found GlobalView's (application program interface) to be the best option," OTI Vice President for Petrochemical Business Development Said Al Maawali said. "GlobalView's direct interface with Allegro allowed for a quick and seamless delivery of high quality market data for our ETRM solution."

GlobalView is the field’s only provider that offers a seamless data framework from front to back-end office needs, virtually guaranteeing accuracy of communication throughout the information management process.

"We are thrilled to have OTI as a customer," GlobalView Managing Director  Paul Bhatt said. "GlobalVew continues to meet the needs of the leading producers and traders across Europe, the Middle East and globally with our innovative market data management solutions. The scope of OTI's global operations was a natural fit for all parties involved."

OTI, founded in 2006 to trade oil and petroleum products globally, is owned by Oman Oil Company (OOC) and the Oman State General Reserve Fund (SGRF).
