To encourage partnership among different Abu Dhabi government
organizations, the Abu Dhabi police force coordinated a workshop recently for
the Abu Dhabi Excellence Program at the Executive Council of Abu
Dhabi in Al Buteen.

The “Reconciling
Objectives of Employees and Institutions” forum served as a stepping-stone
for dissemination of knowledge, skills and resources between 27 different
factions of the government.

Colonel Thani Butti Al Shamesi, team leader for the excellence program and head of Abu Dhabi’s police training
department, made opening remarks that focused on unifying Abu Dhabi’s civic
institutions and recommended that the workshops be conducted regularly.

Major Mohammed Nasser Al Esaaei, employee performance
evaluation section chief, spoke about ways of engaging employees in setting institutional
goals with an emphasis on matching workers’ goals with those of their establishments.

“This session and other workshops are important for
transferring knowledge between the institutions under the Abu Dhabi government,” Mohammed Hasan Al Ameri, who acts as skills development chief and
Emiratization Section leader for Abu Dhabi’s Quality and Conformity Council, said. “It
is a distinguished initiative for supporting excellence in the UAE in
general.”

Guests at the seminar included representatives from Abu
Dhabi’s Municipal Affairs, Transport and Judicial departments, Quality and
Conformity Council, private corporations and Al Ain Municipality.

“The workshop was exceptional for providing new
knowledge and science; correcting many misunderstood concepts; and explaining
methods for spreading a culture of excellence,” Amnah Al Shehhi, chief
of strategic planning at Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and
Special Needs, said.
