The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry said Dr. Mubarak Hamad Al-Ameri, a member of the chamber’s board, recently received a trade delegation from Belarus at the St. Regis Hotel.

“In order to elevate the cooperation, relations and partnerships between the two countries, I would like to emphasize that the Abu Dhabi chamber is ready to offer all the help and support to investors and businessmen from Belarus who are desirous of benefiting from the huge and outstanding investment opportunities in Abu Dhabi,” Al-Ameri said during the meeting, a chamber release said.

Also attending the meeting were chamber board members Sanad Al-Miqbali and Khan Zaman and representatives of the Abu Dhabi business community.

“Our meeting today presents a solid platform to encourage activities of business circles from both countries,” Roman Golovchenko, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the UAE, said in the release. “We have been consistently working on economic and trade collaboration over the past several years … Belarus, within the last decade, has implemented a major industrial modernization program in the sector of petrochemical industries which turned the sector into one of the main drivers of economic prosperity of the country with a total output from $6 to $8 billion per year.”
