Ibrahim Al-Mahmoud, first deputy chairman of
the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recently hosted Major General Khaled Fouda, governor of South Sinai in Egypt, along with a
delegation from the country.
The goal of the meeting was to discuss Emirati business
presence in Egyptian markets and how this presence can positively serve the economy
of each country.
Sharif Al-Diwani, deputy Egyptian ambassador
to the UAE, accompanied the delegation to the meeting. Abu Dhabi
Chamber Board Members Ahmed Al Soudin, Ibrahim
Al-Khajah and Khan Zaman attended the meeting as well, along
with Helal Al-Hameli, acting director general of the Abu Dhabi
Chamber, and a multitude of companies operating in Abu Dhabi.
Al-Mahmoud noted that the meeting represented an opportunity
for businessmen from his country to explore available investments in Egypt,
especially in the Governate of South Sinai.
Fouda, for his part, praised the relationship between the
UAE and Egypt, stating that Egypt is seeing benefits from UAE business
presence. Fouda hopes that Emirati businessmen and investors continue to
diversify their projects in Egypt and particularly the South Sinai governate.
