Abu Dhabi Chamber hosts seminar on Onwani Project, Unified Address System

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of
Commerce and Industry and the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport
recently hosted a seminar on Onwani Project and the Unified Address System for
the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

 

In attendance at the seminar
was Abdullah Ghurair Al-Qubaisi, Deputy Director General of the Abu Dhabi
Chamber, along with representatives from more than 100 companies in the region.

 

Rashid Al-Qubaisi, acting CEO of the Communications and Business Sector at the Chamber,
delivered the opening remarks at the event and spoke about the possible
benefits of the new addressing system.

 

“The Abu Dhabi Chamber, as
the representative of the private sector in the emirate, emphasize on the
support of this sector to the efforts of the Department of Municipal Affairs
and Transport and to its projects and initiatives in a way that contributes to the
prosperity of the establishments of the emirate and developing their roles,”
Al-Qubaisi said.

 

For his part, Dr. Abdullah Al-Blouchi, executive director of Lands and Properties Affairs at
the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport, mentioned that Onwani
Project will help the daily lives of all who live in Abu Dhabi.

 

“New signage posts and
street names are spread across the city, such names hold beautiful, cultural,
civil and heritage meanings and materializes the history of the land, the
country and its national symbols and distinguished personality and strengthens
the Emirati and Islamic identity and links our past with our present and
future,” Al-Blouchi said.
