Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Oct. 12.
His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, Director
General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, has received His Excellency Dashgin Shikarov,
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to UAE, at the Chamber’s Tower in
Abu Dhabi. both sides discussed the proper means to develop economic
cooperation between the Azerbaijan and Abu Dhabi and how to increase joint
investments between the two sides.
For his part, His
Excellency Dashgin Shikarov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to
UAE
extended his thanks and appreciation to the Abu Dhabi
Chamber for welcoming him, pointing to the strong relations between the UAE and
Azerbaijan on all levels.

Mr. Abdullah Ghurair Al-Qubaisi, Deputy Director
General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, attended the meeting along with Mr. Elnur
Aliyev, Trade Representative at the Embassy of Azerbaijan; and Mr. Sabir
Rzayev, First secretary at the Embassy of Azerbaijan.
His Excellency Al Mheiri pointed to the strong and
deep economic and trade relations between the UAE and Azerbaijan, and demanded
to double the efforts to inform Emirati businessmen and investors in Abu Dhabi
with the available investment opportunities in Azerbaijan. He also called on
developing a mechanism that would increase the cooperation between companies
and establishments of both sides, especially in the sectors which Abu Dhabi
focuses on in its economic plans and vision including the industrial sector,
tourism, healthcare and education. He also pointed to the role the Abu Dhabi
Chamber play whether in providing services, organizing events or receiving
delegations.
For his part, His Excellency Dashgin Shikarov,
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to UAE, extended his thanks and
appreciation to the Abu Dhabi Chamber for welcoming him, pointing to the strong
relations between the UAE and Azerbaijan on all levels.
He extended an invitation to Emirati businessmen and
investors to invest in his country, especially in tourism, infrastructure and
transportation, pointing out to the desire of a trade mission from Azerbaijan
to visit the Abu Dhabi Chamber in December 2018.
