Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Jan. 21.

Mohammed Thani Murshid Al Rumaithi, Chairman of the UAE Chambers and the Abu

Dhabi Chamber, and Mr. Mohamed Hamsho, head of the Syrian Trade Delegation and

Secretary-General of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, were present

during the forum, which focused on highlighting the investment sectors of

mutual interest as well as the investment opportunities in the Syrian private

sector particularly those related to trade, industry, infrastructure,

agriculture, tourism, logistics, and renewable energy.

In his welcoming

remarks, Al Rumaithi pointed to the UAE business community’s interest in

investment opportunities available in Syria’s private sector, emphasizing on

the strategic importance of building commercial partnerships in different

sectors. He added that the UAE-Syria Private Sector Forum has brought together

a diverse group of Emirati and Syrian businessmen and investors to discuss

investment climate and opportunities which would create new trade partnerships

and projects.

H.E. Al Rumaithi noted

that the forum is a great opportunity for businessmen and the private sector to

conduct fruitful meetings and to take a closer look at the business

environment.

The UAE Federation of

UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI), in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi

Chamber of Commerce and Industry, have organized the UAE-Syria Private Sector

Forum at the St. Regis Hotel in Abu Dhabi to discuss the potential of enhancing

investment and commercial ties between UAE businessmen with their Syrian

counterparts across many sectors.

His Excellency

ABU DHABI UNIVERSITY: Reaching 75% Construction Completion

ADU an internationally recognized academic institution for quality education and applied research, has announced completion of 75% of the construction of its AED300 million new campus in Al Ain’s Asharej district. With over 400 laborers working on the development of the new campus, applying the highest health and safety standards and the safety regulations of the Civil Defense for 2018, the building also meets One-Pearl Estidama requirements for design and operation sustainability.
