An economic delegation from the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry left Tuesday for a three-day excursion to Italy to attract more foreign investments and industrial expertise to Abu Dhabi.

The delegation includes representatives of various economic, trade, services, financial and property sectors in Abu Dhabi, as well as the heads of more than 15 large companies from Abu Dhabi.

“Our visit to Italy comes within the frame of boosting economic and trade cooperation relations between companies in Abu Dhabi with their Italian counterparts in general and Milan in particular,” Ibrahim Al-Mahmoud, first deputy chairman of the Abu Dhabi chamber, said.

The delegation will discuss new partnerships with Italian businesses to establish investment projects. They will study Italian technologies as well.

“This will be a real opportunity for businessmen in Abu Dhabi and Milan to know more about the available investment projects and economic capabilities as well as empowering joint investments between trade and industrial businessmen and companies in Abu Dhabi and Milan region in order to adopt initiatives that are built on partnerships between industrial, economic, investment and services aspects,” Al-Mahmoud said.

The delegation will meet with senior officials in Italian economic, services, financial and investment organizations. They will also organize the Abu Dhabi-Milan Economic Forum, which will be attended by a numerous company directors from Milan.
