The Ministry of the Interior hosted a cultural event this week as part of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2015.

The event took place at the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Centre and was organized under the direction of Lt. Gen. HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, deputy prime minister and minister of interior. Al Nahyan has focused on bringing different cultural experiences to the area, as well as organizing events to appeal to different age groups.

“Recognizing the importance of books as knowledge vessels and valuable means of achieving progress for nations and peoples, and out of its commitment to disseminating knowledge, the Ministry of Interior has been keen to participate annually in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair,” said Maj. Gen. Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, secretary general of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and minister of interior.

A highlight of the fair was a book signing by His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Saif, who authored “The ABCs of Child Legal Education.”

Al Nuaimi signed a set of new books with the top three winners in the Minister of Interior’s Scientific Research Award. He also offered copies of the police encyclopedia prepared by the Security Media Department at the Abu Dhabi Police to the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs.
