Abu Dhabi Police promote occupational safety and health

The Abu Dhabi Police recently encouraged all of its personnel to improve the department’s culture by promoting occupational safety and health as a way to recognize World Safety and Health at Work Day.

The mindset of preventing safety and health risks within the workplace was discussed during a specialized workshop organized by the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development. The workshop discussed how to best encourage this culture of prevention and the most effective methods to do so, and the presentations emphasized the positive results of applying regulations for occupational safety and health. 

Speakers highlighted the variety of challenges that this mindset can face through various methods of communication inside government institutions. In addition, they stressed how important it is to accept international practices for occupational safety and health.

principles for their own employees. A medical team also attended the even to administer medical tests for the workshop attendees.
