Abu Dhabi University recently launched a monthly campaign to recognize staff members for their continuous support to students and faculty.

The “Because They Deserve” campaign will run throughout the year and honor 24 staff members from Abu Dhabi University’s campuses in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi for their dedication and participation in activities that engage with the community and encourage social responsibility.

The initiative is part of the university’s “Year of Giving Strategy 2017,” which promotes a culture of giving. The strategy was created in response to Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the United Arab Emirates, who declared 2017 the “Year of Giving.”

“We hope that the campaign helps in spreading the values of compassion and social responsibility, and the importance of instilling these values in today’s youth to prepare them for their future contributions to the national development needs and policy agenda of the Government of Abu Dhabi and its Economic Vision 2030,” Hassan Hajjdiab, head of Abu Dhabi University’s Year of Giving Committee, said.

Abu Dhabi University has planned a range of initiatives and activities throughout the year aimed at promoting the culture of giving and social responsibility.
