Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced on May 3 that it will accelerate the growth and delivery of its strategy with AED200 billion ($55 billion) in new project awards scheduled for 2026 to 2028. The announcement was made at the ‘Make it With ADNOC’ Forum, which brought together engineering, procurement and construction contractors with local manufacturers qualified to ADNOC’s technical standards.
The company said these planned awards reinforce its five-year capital expenditure plan approved by its Board of Directors last year. The projects are intended to support a new phase of large-scale execution across ADNOC’s value chain in response to rising global energy demand.
The ‘Make it With ADNOC’ Forum connected top contractors with seventy local manufacturers listed under ADNOC’s ‘Local+’ initiative, part of its In-Country Value program. This initiative is designed to ensure products made in the United Arab Emirates are prioritized across all projects, supporting the growth of domestic manufacturing capacity and strengthening industrial resilience.
His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO, said: “In line with the directives of the UAE Leadership to advance the UAE’s energy and industrial sectors, ADNOC is entering a defining execution phase in its strategy, driven by scale, pace and a laser-focus on delivery. This marks a new chapter of growth and resilience to meet rising global energy demand while strengthening and expanding the UAE’s industrial and manufacturing base.
“As we deliver on this phase of growth, we are bringing together leading EPC contractors with 70 top UAE manufacturers to enhance accountability, maximize in country value and ensure Made in the Emirates products are first-choice across our projects, and are at the core of how we procure, build and execute. We invite partners who can move at the pace of the UAE’s ambitions, match flawless execution with rock-steady reliability and demonstrate an unwavering focus on local value creation to join us in this new chapter of our journey.”
More than four hundred attendees from government entities, private sector companies and EPC contractors participated in the forum. The event provided greater transparency into ADNOC’s investment plans as well as opportunities for local manufacturing businesses. It also showcased early partner engagement strategies aimed at building long-term partnerships based on performance.
Looking ahead, ADNOC plans to launch ‘ADNOC Value Connect — meet the buyer’ from May 5-6 during Make it in the Emirates week at ADNEC Abu Dhabi. This event aims to connect over one thousand companies—including small- and medium-sized enterprises—with key suppliers for further integration into supply chains.
