ADNOC Distribution recently announced that it intends to provide its Abu Dhabi customers with applications to receive Rahal e-Gas cards, which will give the customers the opportunity to buy subsidized LPG cylinders before the Sept. 8, 2015 deadline.

After the deadline, the customers will be allowed to buy subsidized LPG cylinders within the company’s network of stations. This will only be allowed with Rahal e-Gas cards and will have a monthly quota scheme.

“We are keen to provide value-added facilities and to make the overall procedure simple, easy and fast,” Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, said. “Given this priority, we are currently working to expand the number of service stations that are accepting applications and issuing the new Rahal e-Gas cards. Moreover, we are encouraging customers to use the company website to submit their applications for Rahal e-Gas cards in a bid to avoid pressure and traffic at Rahal centers and at our network of service stations. We invite customers to benefit from the convenience of applying online and have made this process much faster and stress-free now.”

This is part of ADNOC’s campaign within the UAE to monitor sales of subsidized LPG cylinders via pre-paid Rahal e-Gas cards. The campaign aligns with the vision of the UAE to transform all function into smart platforms in order to provide easier, safer, greater convenience for customers.

“Till date, ADNOC Distribution has received nearly 44 percent of total submissions for Rahal e-Gas cards through our website,” Al Dhaheri said. “Once the online application process is completed and approved, customers will receive SMS messages on their mobile phones inviting them to visit the nearest service stations and collect their Rahal e-Gas cards by presenting their original Emirates identity cards only.”
