ADNOC has announced it will extend its multi-year partnership with Ethara to sponsor the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. ADNOC, which has been an Official Founding Partner of the event since 2019, will launch a new campaign called The Race Within during the upcoming race weekend. This initiative aims to highlight values such as performance, ambition, and national pride that are associated with both ADNOC and Formula 1.

The company’s involvement in the race will include new activities for fans, educational programs, and outreach efforts designed to bring motorsports enthusiasts together. ADNOC stated that these initiatives are part of its broader commitment to supporting communities, promoting wellbeing, and contributing to major sporting events in the UAE.

Omar Al Suwaidi, Director of The Executive Office at ADNOC, said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, an iconic event that exemplifies the energy and ambition of the UAE. Through this partnership, ADNOC will create new experiences for fans that bring people together, inspire future generations and empower communities.”

As part of its activation at the event, ADNOC will set up dedicated fan experiences in the main F1 Fan Zone. These will include activities like Pace Lab, where visitors can test their speed and reaction time through interactive challenges such as reaction light walls and timed sprints.

Racegoers will also have access to Oasis by ADNOC’s newly refreshed convenience brand at the venue. Here they can experience premium offerings from ‘On-the-Gourmet’ and sample products from what is described as the UAE’s largest locally grown specialty coffee chain.

Gavin Dickinson, Chief Commercial Officer at Ethara, commented on the continued collaboration: “Since 2019, ADNOC has powered not just our race, but our future – reaching nearly 100,000 UAE students through Yas in Schools. This renewed partnership allows us to deliver elevated fan experiences while building the next generation of UAE talent and cementing Abu Dhabi’s position as a global sports destination.”

ADNOC’s ongoing partnership with Ethara includes support for youth development through initiatives like Yas in Schools. This program introduces students across the country to hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Students participate by creating their own racing brands and model cars for national competitions.

According to figures released by ADNOC, more than 95,000 students from over 1,500 schools have participated in these STEM education programs so far. In this year’s Formula Ethara GP Challenge—a competition linked to these efforts—the winning team was given tickets to attend the season finale at Yas Marina Circuit alongside ADNOC representatives.
