ADNOC has entered into a strategic partnership with Tubacex to localize vital oilfield technology in the UAE. This collaboration, announced at the ‘Make it in the Emirates’ forum in Abu Dhabi, grants ADNOC exclusive rights to use Tubacex’s Sentinel Prime premium tubular joint connection technology. This technology is essential for completing oil and gas wells, reducing costs, and ensuring supply chain resilience.

As part of the agreement, Tubacex will establish a research and development center in Abu Dhabi. This facility will focus on advanced engineering and training local technicians, contributing to the growth of local talent.

Musabbeh Al Kaabi, ADNOC Upstream CEO, stated: “This strategic partnership secures ADNOC access to an important technology for completing oil and gas wells, reinforcing our role as a reliable global energy provider and our efforts to boost domestic manufacturing capacity. We welcome Tubacex’s investment in a new research and development center in Abu Dhabi which will enable knowledge and technology transfer, help develop local talent and support the goals of the Make it in the Emirates initiative.”

Tubulars or Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) are specialized steel pipes used in drilling and completing oil and gas wells. These components must meet high standards for strength, durability, and reliability due to their operation in challenging environments.

Josu Imaz, Tubacex Group CEO, commented: “The licensing arrangement with ADNOC confirms Tubacex’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the energy sector and reinforces our position as a strategic contributor for major players in the industry.”

The ‘Make it in the Emirates’ forum is being held from May 19-22 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. It serves as a platform to advance UAE’s manufacturing ambitions.

Heya! I understand this is sort of off-topic but I had to ask. Does managing a well-established website such as yours take a massive amount work? I am completely new to running a blog however I do write in my diary every day. I’d like to start a blog so I can easily share my own experience and views online. Please let me know if you have any kind of recommendations or tips for brand new aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!
