AEG Facilities, a division of AEG and operator of Oman
Convention and Exhibition Center in Muscat, along with dozens of facilities
around the world, has launched a new Global Solutions Division. 

This division
will provide customized management and planning services to sports and
entertainment facilities around the globe. AEG is a global leader in sports and
entertainment.

“Our unmatched global experience in developing, owning
and managing leading facilities uniquely equips us to meet the increasingly
complex requirements of designing, constructing, operating and managing
theaters, arenas, convention centers and stadiums,” AEG Facilities President Bob Newman said.

Newman noted that the decision is a response to market
demand. He believes the service will improve operational performance and
mentioned that it can be fully customized to fit a client’s specific needs and
budgets.

“We can draw on our successful track record worldwide and
our wide range of in-house skills and experience in order to deliver venues that
are cost effective to build, economically sustainable to operate and optimize
the revenue generation potential of each facility,” Newman said.

The company also announced that Jay Cooper has been named senior vice president of AEG Facilities. Cooper will lead the new division,
effective immediately. He brings more than 34 years of industry experience to
the table.
