Qatar-based hotel management company Aiana Hotels & Resorts said this week that its first Aiana hotel in Saudi Arabia will open later this year in Mecca, providing direct access to the Masjid Al Haram.

“Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a key market for Aiana Hotels & Resorts and we are honored to open our first property in the Holy City of Mecca,” Aiana Hotels & Resorts CEO Amruda Nair said. “At Aiana, we are conscious of the deep religious sentiment that drives millions of devout pilgrims to the Holy City of Mecca every year and our key focus will be to offer a comfortable and seamless experience while being mindful of the austere nature of their travel.”

Aiana Makkah will feature 611 rooms and offer guests friendly service, all-day dining and adequate parking.

Aiana Hotels & Resorts has also unveiled design and architectural elements of Aiana Suites and Residences in the central business district of West Bay in Doha. The luxury property was built to extend the Aiana lifestyle into a home environment and will provide guests with branded amenities and a variety of services including housekeeping and concierge facilities.
