A group of students from Ajman University of Science and Technology delivered drinking water, beverages and fruits to laborers
working outdoors during the hot days as they visited construction sites
as part of the Nabrid Aala Qulobihim, or “coolness upon their hearts,” campaign.

The campaign was taken on by the volunteer group “We
are at your service, My Country.” The campaign revolved around serving those
who work in the sun throughout the day in the industrial areas in of Ajman.

Asma Al Shamsi, manager for the student affairs department at the university, said the good nature of the student volunteers is derived from
leaders who have served the region.

“The voluntary service toward our community is derived from
our Islamic values and is instilled in our culture by the wise leader late His
Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan,”

Al Shamsi said. “May Allah have mercy upon him, he
and all our leaders have been a role model to all the sons and daughters of
this land.”

The special club designed for the volunteering students is
housed by the student affairs department, which seeks out areas where the
volunteers can contribute their time and serve the community in positive ways.
