Al Shafar General Contracting (ASGC), one of the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) leading construction groups, has successfully completed the structural work on the Marina Bloom development at Abu Dhabi Marina.

The project is a mixed-use development designed by award-winning developer Bloom Properties and will lie in the Al Bateen area of the of the UAE capital.

Marina Bloom is designed with impressive views of the Gulf as well as the city, and will feature a five-star hotel, 57 executive-serviced apartments and waterfront retail areas intended to provide residents and guests with a luxurious experience.

The Dubai-based ASGC began construction work in April of 2014 and the project is slated for completion the second half of 2016.

“I am delighted to announce a key milestone with the completion of the structure for the Marina Bloom Development,” Bishoy Azmy, ASGC’s CEO, said. “This development … once again demonstrates ASGC’s expertise in the delivery of quality and high-end hospitality and residential construction projects.”

Azmy’s comments are well justified as Al Shafar General Contracting has built up an impressive track record since the company’s founding 25 years ago. ASGC has worked on more than 280 projects in that time, developing a deep deep understanding of the UAE’s construction market.

ASGC’s biggest projects include the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, City Walk and the Golden Mile of Dubai’s now-famous Palm Jumeirah area.
