Al-Yaqout Group, based in Kuwait, and Bayara recently signed an agreement that will place Bayara’s nuts, dried fruits and spices in Kuwait stores.

“Bayara is a leading and well-loved brand in the Middle East
and North Africa in FMCG and we’re very proud to be the exclusive distributors
for their range of spices and dried fruits and nuts in Kuwait,” Shahid
Khan, group CEO of Al-Yaqout Group, said. “Bayara’s products will complement the
brands we currently distribute in Kuwait, further strengthening YFC’s (the distribution hub of Al-Yaqout Group) portfolio
and servicing growing demand from retailers and consumers in Kuwait for
high-quality food and beverage products.”

The exclusive deal means YFC will allocate Bayara’s most popular products to a variety of
hypermarkets, supermarkets and grocery stores. The company will also introduce Bayara’s
shop-in-shop layout in top hypermarkets as well as Kuwait’s most well-known
hotels, cafes and restaurants.

“Kuwait is an important Middle East market for Bayara and
one in which we need to build a strong market presence, as we have already done
successfully in the MENA region,” Jean-Marc Lourau, CEO of Bayara, said. “Al-Yaqout
Group is an ideal, strategic distribution partner for our brand, given its
existing network and reach, and this will help ensure we quickly penetrate the
Kuwait market with our fast moving range of high quality products.”
