Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) marked Bahraini Women’s Day with an event recognizing the contributions of its female employees. The gathering included board directors Rasha Sabkar and Hala Mufeez, Shaima Al Mahmood from the Supreme Council for Women, CEO Ali Al Baqali, and members of the executive management team.
The program featured a panel discussion titled ‘Stories of Inspiring Youth in Alba’, where female staff spoke about their experiences and how they have contributed to the company’s achievements.
Ali Al Baqali, Alba’s CEO, commented: “Bahraini Women’s Day is not only a celebration of the remarkable achievements of Bahraini women, but also a call to create more pathways for their growth and success. At Alba, we see women as a driving force behind our progress. Today, 45% of our female workforce hold supervisory or higher-level positions — a testament to our commitment to gender diversity in leadership.”
The event highlighted several community-focused initiatives led by Alba’s female employees earlier this year. These projects included visits to hospitals supporting disadvantaged children, tree-planting efforts outside company premises, and clean-up campaigns at public beaches.
