Alba recently marked World Environment Day with a campaign held from June 2 to June 4. The event was inaugurated by Alba’s CEO, Ali Al Baqali, and included various interactive activities aimed at encouraging collective action for the benefit of future generations.

The campaign featured awareness sessions led by experts, including Alba’s in-house specialists and guest speakers from the Supreme Council for Environment and the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat).

In addition to these sessions, Alba’s Executive Management participated in tree-planting efforts across the smelter. This initiative is part of the company’s commitment to plant 6,000 trees annually as part of Bahrain’s plan to double its tree population by 2035.
