Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) marked National Tree Week by highlighting its ongoing tree planting initiatives, which are part of the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Roadmap launched in 2022. Since the start of this program, Alba has planted more than 7,000 trees within its own property. The company has also contributed to the wider community by planting over 16,000 trees outside its facilities. These efforts include reclaiming farmland, installing irrigation systems, and planting trees along major roads as well as at local organizations and charities.

The Alba Mangrove Nursery is currently nurturing 15,000 seedlings that are set to be transplanted to key national reserves. This initiative supports Bahrain’s goal to increase mangrove coverage fourfold by 2035.
