Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) recently held a summer camp for employees’ children, focusing on students aged 14 to 17. The initiative was organized in partnership with INJAZ Bahrain and aimed to provide essential life and career skills through various activities.
The program included job shadowing opportunities, financial literacy workshops, Toastmasters and public speaking training, field trips, and an innovation camp. Alba employee volunteers led the sessions.
Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairperson of INJAZ Bahrain, said: “We are proud to partner with Alba to deliver an engaging and educational summer experience. This collaboration embodies our shared vision to empower youth with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to thrive in the future workforce.”
A notable event during the week was a session featuring Alba’s Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali. He interacted directly with participants and discussed his experiences at Alba while providing practical career advice. Al Baqali commented: “This initiative is a testament to Alba’s belief in the power of youth. By investing in their development today, we’re cultivating the leaders of tomorrow. A special thanks goes to our employee volunteers for shaping this impactful experience and demonstrating the very essence of Alba’s commitment to the community.”
At the end of the five-day program, all participants received certificates recognizing their engagement.
